KARACHI: The Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP)-led Sindh government on Thursday made a major reshuffle in the provincial police department as the government was not satisfied with the performance of the current police officers.

According to reports, the government replaced four additional IGs and 14 DIGs while appointed new Karachi Police Chief.

The Sindh government appointed Shahid Hayat as Karachi Police Chief and transferred SSPs of all the districts across the province.

Moreover, Khadim Rind, Farhat Junejo, Javed Odho, Ghulam Qadir, Bashir Memon, Zakir Hussain, Amir Sheikh, Arif Hanif, Sharjeel Khar, Tahir Naveed, Sanaullah Abbasi, Ghulam Sarwar and Mushtaq Mehr were appointed as DIG Crime Branch, DIG Admin, DIG West Zone, Additional IG Traffic, Additional IG Development, Additional IG Special Branch, DIG Traffic, DIG Sukkur, DIG Larkana, DIG CID, DIG SRP, DIG Finance and DIG Headquarters respectively.
