LAHORE, Pakistan: Resorting to a highly reprehensible move, the authorities partially shut down internet services across the Country on Sunday night when Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) – the Country’s most popular political party – was holding the first-ever virtual public gathering on social media platforms.

Setting another benchmark in the Country’s political history, PTI succeeded immensely getting millions of views on various social media platforms despite the internet blockade across major Cities in the Country.

In a bid to disrupt the Country’s first ever Virtual Power Show organized by PTI as the party’s top leadership including the former Prime Minister Imran Khan is currently incarcerated and dozens others have been forced to either leave PTI or even politics for ever, the incumbent authorities temporarily slowed down internet services and blocked access to major social media platforms.

Yet, the PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Khan addressed a well over one million concurrent users worldwide, spanning across Asia, Europe, and America.

The PTI Chief unveiled the party’s 150-page manifesto, promising extensive reforms in the judiciary, executive, police, and policies for overseas Pakistanis.

The party will soon announce its manifesto as the election schedule has been announced.

However, as anticipation built for the virtual rally, internet monitoring service Netblocks reported a widespread disruption in major social media platforms across Pakistan including X, Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube.

The disruption led to difficulties accessing these platforms in key cities like Lahore, Karachi, and Islamabad. Users also reported a notable slowdown in internet services during this period.
