SocialSasti Roti Scheme may be restored

RAWALPINDI: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Tuesday issued directive to the Punjab government to revive Sasti Roti Scheme till November 28.

The directive was issued by Justice Sohail Iqbal Bhatti of the LHC Rawalpindi bench.

During proceedings, the petitioner prayed that the scheme was approved by Punjab Assembly, and government’s step to close it down was illegal.

After hearing the arguments, the court ordered the provincial government to restore Sasti Roti Scheme and submit rejoinder by November 28.
