ISLAMABAD: A three-member bench of the Supreme Court resumed its hearing of the local bodies elections case in Islamabad on Wednesday, during which the Punjab government sought four months time from the apex court for holding LB elections in the province.
During the proceedings, the Advocate General Punjab Mustafa Ramdy submitted before the bench a report pertaining to timeframe for the LB polls.
As per the report, the local bodies elections in Punjab will be completed in 10 stages.
The advocate general said that it would take four months to prepare draft legal bill and delimitation of constituencies for LB elections.
