RAWALPINDI, Pakistan: In the view of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf’s (PTI) planned protest, Section 144 has been imposed in Rawalpindi, and containers have been placed to seal Liaquat Bagh.

As per details, the gates of Liaquat Bagh have been completely sealed with barriers and barbed wire while containers have also been positioned around Murree Road.

The routes leading to Liaquat Bagh from Murree Road have been blocked with containers.

Sources reported that Murree Road has been blocked at the Faizabad Junction by placing a container. Employees and businesspeople are facing significant difficulties, and mobile services in Rawalpindi will also be partially suspended today.

Due to the potential PTI protest, the Metrobus Service from Rawalpindi’s Saddar Station to IJP Station will remain completely shut while the service will be operational in Islamabad from IJP Station to Pak Secretariat.

Contempt of Court Petition filed against DC Lahore for denying PTI rally permission

A Contempt of Court Petition has been scheduled for hearing against the Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Lahore for denying permission to PTI to hold a rally.

According to details, the Registrar’s Office has scheduled the Contempt of Court Petition against the DC Lahore for a hearing on September 30, and Justice Farooq Haider will hear the Case.

The petitioner argued that despite the Court’s orders, DC Lahore did not grant permission for the rally, and the Court should take Contempt of Court action against the DC.
