ISLAMABAD: A joint meeting of the government and the Taliban negotiating teams will be held in Islamabad on Saturday.
The meeting was convened by the federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, while it will consider matters relating to the next phase of direct talks with the outlawed Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) Shura.
The first phase was direct talks between the government committee and the representatives of the TTP Shura comprising Qari Shakil, Maulana Azam Tariq, Maulvi Bashir and Maulvi Zakir was held in an area adjacent to North Waziristan on March 26.
