ISLAMABAD: The National Assembly was informed on Friday that as many as 8,484 persons were killed in terrorist incidents from 2010 to 2013 across the country including Gilgit-Baltistan as well as Azad Jammu & Kashmir.

In a written reply to a question of Pakistan Peoples Party’s (PPP) lawmaker Dr Nafisa Shah, the federal minister for interior Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan informed the house on Friday that from 2010 to 2013, 3,240 persons lost their lives during terrorist attacks in the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA), 2,311 in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and 1,985 in Balochistan.

The interior minister further informed that 543 persons were killed in Punjab, 313 in Sindh, 66 in Gilgit-Baltistan, 16 in Islamabad and 10 in Azad Jammu & Kashmir.
