20 students killed as school van collides with truck in Nawabshah

NAWABSHAH: At least 20 students aged between 8-16 years were killed while several others sustained injuries in a head-on collision between a school van and a truck at Qazi Ahmed link road in Nawabshah on Wednesday.

The school van was going to Moro from Nawabshah, a city in Shaheed Benazir Abad District of Sindh province. The injured were shifted to Liaquat Medical College Hospital Nawabshah where an emergency was declared.

President Mamnoon Hussain‚ Sindh Governor Dr. Ishrat ul Ibad and Sindh Chief Minister Qaim Ali Shah expressed shock over the loss of precious lives in the accident.
