PML-N’s Aziz Abro announces to join PPP

KARACHI: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) senior office bearer from Sindh Aziz Abro announced on Wednesday to join Pakistan Peoples’ Party (PPP).

Aziz Abro made the announcement at a press conference along with senior PPP leader Agha Siraj Durrani on Wednesday.

Speaking on the occasion, Durrani said that a new local body system would be introduced in Sindh with the support of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

“We can hold elections under the current local body system in six months. But for this, we will have to re-promulgate local body ordinance.”

He said that talks were under way with MQM.

To a question, he said that PPP did not sell any Sindh islands. “Zufliqarabad is for the betterment of people of Sindh,” he maintained.
