KARACHI: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Wednesday that the government is alive to the situation in Karachi and all possible steps will be taken for maintenance of law and order in the city.

Briefing media persons about Karachi’s situation on Wednesday‚ the Prime Minister said that talks have been held with all the stakeholders including political parties‚ business community and high ranking officials of security and intelligence agencies to reach the right decision for bringing peace in Karachi.

The Prime Minister said all the proposals will carefully be examined to check the situation in the economic hub of the country.

Earlier, the Prime Minister was briefed at a high-level meeting attended by Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar Ali Kahn, Information Minister Pervez Rasheed, DG Rangers, IG police and heads of intelligence agencies.
