ISLAMABAD: The Judicial Commission (JC) on Saturday recommended appointment of seven additional judges at Peshawar High Court (PHC), Dispatch News Desk (DND) reported.

Its meeting was held in Islamabad on Saturday with Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry in the chair.

Those recommended for additional judges at PHC included Abdul Latif Khan, Malik Manzoor, Afsar Ali Shah, Lal Jan Khattak, Ikramullah Khan, Musarat Hilali and Saud Khan, however, consensus on the name of Hayat Ali Shah could not be reached.

The issue of making six additional judges of the Lahore High Court (LHC) permanent was also deliberated in the meeting.
