LAHORE: The Pakistan Muslim League (PML-Q) and the Nawab of Bahawalpur Salahuddin Abbasi on Saturday reached an agreement on a seat-sharing formula for three southern Punjab districts, Dispatch News Desk reported (DND) reported.

A meeting was held at Nawab Salahuddin Abbasi’s house in Lahore on Saturday at which an agreement over the Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan and Bahawalpur districts was finalised

Talking to reporters after the meeting, The PML-Q chief Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain said that his party has agreed on the seat adjustment formula with Abbasi, who also heads the Bahawalpur National Awami Party (BNAP).

Hussain said the PML-Q could not strike an electoral alliance with the Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N), adding that the various factions of the Muslim League could not come together due to the stubbornness of one man.
