SocialMango festival to start on July 8

MULTAN, Pakistan: A three-day mango festival aiming to promote the king of fruits and offer recreation to citizens will commence here on July 8 (Saturday).

Muhammad Nawaz Sharif University of Agriculture (MNSUA) in collaboration with district government and Mango Research Institute has organised the  event in which envoys of different countries, scientists, farmers and mango related companies besides general public would participate.

Special arrangements have been made for the families by MNSUA which has been holding mango festival for the last two years.

A mango eating competition among kids of aged 5 to 12 years will also be organised in addition to skits, fun activities.

Mango and Food street concept would also be introduced in the festival. Prizes would be given to those who would decorate their mango stalls in attractive manner.

A seminar about easy recognition of different varieties of mangoes ,and how to deal with different diseases of this fruit will also be arranged.

Various pesticide companies and agri tools manufacturers will also set up stalls in the festival.
