Load shedding duration to be reduced during Ramadan

FAISALABAD: The minister of state for water and power Abid Sher Ali said on Saturday that duration of load shedding will be reduced during the holy month of Ramadan while there will be no load shedding during Sehar, Iftar, and Taraweeh.

The minister made these remarks while talking to media representatives in Faisalabad on Saturday.

Abid Sher Ali said that a plan has been devised for load management for summer season. He said that six to seven hours load shedding will be carried out in urban areas while the areas, which show high level of power theft, will face 10 to 20 hours power outages.

The minister of state said that electricity theft will not be tolerated and supply of defaulters will be disconnected.
