ISLAMABAD: A high peak of flood water is expected to pass through Kotri barrage on Saturday evening.

The Chief Engineer Kotri Barrage told media that flood water is smoothly falling in the Arabian sea and there is no threat to protective bunds along Jamshoro‚ Qasimabad‚ Hussainabad‚ Sehrish Nagar and Latifabad localities at the downstream Kotri.

However‚ the pressure on the protective bunds on both sides of the river Indus along Matiari‚ Bhanot‚ and Hala has significantly increased.
