ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The devastating flooding continues to wreak havoc throughout the Country as 36 more people lost their lives in the last 24 hours, according to the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA).

As per the latest statistics released by the NDMA on Wednesday, a total of 1,162 people have fallen victims to floods and 1,941 have sustained injuries.

   

The statistics revealed that 5,063 kilometers roads & more than 1,051,000 houses have been damaged and 243 bridges have been destroyed whereas more than 700,000 livestocks have been swept away in floods.

The NDMA said that the relief operations continue in 72 affected districts of the Country.

PM Shahbaz Sharif visits KPK’s flood-affected districts

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is visiting flood-affected districts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province on Wednesday.

The prime minister will visit Kalam and Kanju in district Swat while Patan village in district lower Kohistan.

During the visit, the prime minister will be briefed about flood relief activities and damages caused by floods. He will review relief efforts and meet flood affected people.
