LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif said on Thursday that an energy conference will soon be held to discuss the ongoing energy crisis.

Chairing a Punjab Cabinet meeting held in Lahore on Thursday, the CM Punjab said that the recommendation of the conference will be presented before the provincial Cabinet for consideration.

The Chief Minister said that work is continuing on various projects to generate power with coal‚ hydel‚ solar and other alternate energy resources.

He said the security agencies are being equipped with the latest equipment to deal with the challenge of terrorism.

Moreover, he said that all possible measures are being taken to ensure law and order situation in the province.
