SocialCDA to start construction work on Bhara Kahu interchange next month

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Capital Development Authority (CDA) will start construction work on the bypass road on Murree Road, from Shahdara Stop to the Women’s College Stop, Bhara Kahu Interchange in next month.

“We are completing necessary documentation to start work on the Bhara Kahu bypass and this project will ease the traffic burden on the main Murree Road,” said Senior official of CDA.

He said that people are facing traffic jam issues at Bhara Kahu specially visitors who comes from Muree adding that after completion of Bypass traffic issues would also be addressed.

The official said that State Minister for Capital Administration and Development Division (CADD) Dr Tariq Fazal Chaudhry directed the CDA to complete various ongoing projects within three months.

The minister also directed the civic agency to complete development work in D-12 and to start development projects in C-15 and I-15. However, the minister did not pass directives for the stalled sectors of I-14, I-12, E-12 and a section of I-11, where residents have been waiting to be handed over possession of their lands for many years.

The minister directed the CDA to construct an alternative slip road and expand Sarena Chowk, where traffic jams have become routine.
