Monitoring Desk: Americans are back in Afghanistan under the rule of the Taliban, who used to say “no foreign boots on Afghan soil” as the Taliban has handed over Bagram Air Base to US operations.
This development has challenged the decade-old rhetoric and narrative that the Afghan Taliban cannot allow “foreign boots on Afghan soil”. Afghanistan had been ruined to honour the cliché “No foreign boots on Afghan soil,” although Afghanistan had always been under foreign rule except for a brief period of the Durrani dynasty.
According to Khaama Press, the United States has retaken control of Bagram Airfield, where several U.S. Air Force C-17 Globemaster III aircraft landed under the command of CIA Deputy Director Michael Ellis. Zabihullah Mujahid, the Taliban spokesperson, dismissed reports of a U.S. C-17 landing at Bagram Airbase as “propaganda,” asserting that no foreign military presence is needed or allowed in Afghanistan.
Recently Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan offered state protocol to US porn star Whitney Wright on her arrival at Kabul. The American porn star was not only given protocol but was also provided with a special visa, security squads and freedom to move around cities like Kabul, Herat, Mazar-e-Sharif and Bamyan. Surprisingly, the porn star also went to Band-e-Amir, where Afghan women are prohibited from entering, and there she even took pictures with US-left NATO grade weapons currently under the control of Taliban.
Several questions arise with this special arrangements for porn star about the narrative of Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan regarding women. Afghan Taliban imposed unnecessary restrictions on Afghan women including banning education and making picture but same Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan offered special hospitality for an American porn star.
