MURREE: Chief of Pakistan Muslim League-N Nawaz Sharif on Sunday presided over a meeting of PML-N MPAs from Balochistan and leaders of the allied parties in Murree to finalise the process of government formation in the province.

Shahbaz Sharif, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan, Sanaullah Zehri, Khwaja Asif. Ishaq Dar, Pervez Rasheed, Mehmood Khan Achakzai and Mir Hasil Khan Bazanjo attended the meeting.

   

Sources said the meeting will finalize names for Chief Minister, Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Balochistan, adding that Nawaz Sharif will formally announce the decision later in a press conference.

National Party’s Abdul Malik Baloch is reportedly strong candidate for Chief Minister’s slot.

The strength of the Baluchistan Assembly is sixty-five including eleven reserved seats for women and three for minorities..

The Speaker and Deputy Speaker of Baluchistan Assembly will be elected on Tuesday.

In the Assembly‚ Pakistan Muslim League-N is leading with eighteen seats following by Pakhtunkhwa Milli Awami Party 14‚ National Party11‚ JUI-F 8‚ BNP-Mengal 2‚ ANP‚ BNP-Awami‚ Jamoot Qaumi Movement and Majlis Wahdatul Muslmeen 1 seat each.

There are 4 independent candidates in the House.
