Third National Integrated Counter Terrorism Training Course concluded

Rawalpindi, Pakistan:  National Integrated Counter Terrorism Training Course – 3,  culminated at  National Counter Terrorism Training Centre near Kharian on Sunday.

According to Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR) of Pakistan Army, as many as 405 soldiers from Pakistan Navy, Gilgit Baltistan Police, Special Security Unit Sindh Police, Punjab Defense Services Guards, Azad Jammu and Kashmir Police, Pakistan Coast Guards, Army Strategic Force Command, Airport Security Force and Pakistan Rangers (Punjab)​ participated in ​4 weeks long training exercise.

This Training Course is being provided to law enforcing agencies of the country to combat terrorism and training is being provided by anti-terrorism specialists.

Third National Integrated Counter Terrorism Training Course concluded

Lieutenant General Hilal Hussain, Corps Commander Mangla was chief guest on the concluding ceremony.  While speaking on the occasion Corps Commander Mangla congratulated the participants and appreciated their dedication, motivation and commitment shown during the course. He said counter terrorism training imparted to soldiers of sister services, para military forces and law enforcement agencies aims to enhance an integrated response mechanism against terrorism at National level.Lieutenant General Hilal Hussain expressed confidence that special anti terrorism training will go a long way in improvement of professional skills of ​course participants​.

Inspector General Azad Kashmir Police, Inspector General Islamabad Police, Home Secretary Punjab and senior officers from Pakistan Army Navy also witnessed the culmination session of training programme.

It may be mentioned that Pakistan is fighting war against terrorism and its law enforcing agencies minus Pakistan Army had no formal training of facing acute circumstances and that was one of the reason that police were avoiding encountering terrorists in past. National Action Plan (NAP) provides opportunities of a close coordination among all security agencies, intelligence agencies and law enforcing agencies and such special courses are playing an important role to combat terrorism successfully all over the country.
