ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Mobilink Foundation organized a fun filled activity for the residents of Safina Children’s Home, an orphanage established by Safina Welfare Services in Islamabad.

30 Mobilink Torchbearers spent the evening with the children orphaned as a result of the devastating earthquake which occurred in October 2005. Mobilink Torchbearers hosted the activity for the 60 residents of Safina Children Home at Fatima Jinnah Park, where they took part in entertaining activities, games and sports. These included painting, tug-of-war, sack race, frisbee and football. The day was concluded with the Torchbearers distributing school bags among the children.

Omar Manzur, Head of Corporate Communication, Mobilink commenting on the activity said, “Mobilink values community service as one of the most important part of its CSR activities. Spending time with these orphaned children is our way of showing them support. Mobilink has always looked to provide assistance to the deserving and marginalized social groups, and thus encourage our employees to actively take part in these initiatives.”

Moscow says it won’t allow US to silence UNSC on Israeli violence against Palestinians Monitoring Desk: Russian envoy in United Nations Vasily Nebenzya said that the UN Security Council should bring peace, stability and prosperity to the Middle East and Russia would not allow United States to silence UNSC over the issue of Gaza crisis. According to TASS news Agency, Nebenzya said that Moscow will continue to call for an end to violence against Palestinians and will not allow the US to muzzle the UN Security Council as Washington seeks to support Israel's operation in Gaza. "We will continue to stand firmly for ending violence against the Palestinians. Without a shadow of a doubt, we will continue to expose the abuses and sanctimony with which the US is handling the situation.
