Passenger bus overturns near Burewala, five killed

BUREWALA, Pakistan: A passenger bus turned turtle as a result of over speeding near Burewala city of southern Punjab’s Vehari district on Wednesday that left at least five person dead.

The rescue sources said that a number of other persons also sustained injuries in the accident which took place on Lydon road near Burewala.

The sources said that the passenger bus which was travelling from Changa Manga to Kasur overturned because the driver tried to take a sharp turn while speeding.

The injured persons were immediately shifted to the district headquarters hospital for medical treatment.

Meanwhile, the Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif expressed deep grief and sorrow over the loss of precious lives in the accident.

The chief minister also directed for provision of all possible medical assistant to the injured persons.
