Federal govt ready to form judicial commission: Dar

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The federal minister for finance Ishaq Dar has said that the federal government is willing to form the proposed judicial commission to probe allegations of rigging in 2013 elections, according to a Radio Pakistan report.

In his address at a press conference along with the minister of state Anusha Rehman in Islamabad on Saturday, the finance minister said that the judicial commission will be formed within the ambit of the constitution.

The finance minister said that he has written another letter and sent an e-mail as well to the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) negotiating team containing new definition of the scope of the work of the proposed judicial commission to probe allegations of rigging into 2013 general elections.

The minister said that new draft has been sent to the PTI as suggestion made by the party during latest round of talks on January 20.

Ishaq Dar said that the remaining points can be sorted out and the judicial commission formed without any delay. He said that it is time to sort out the issues as a lot of time has already been consumed.
