Three killed, several injured in separate road accidents in Sind

KARACHI, Pakistan: At least three persons lost their lives while several others sustained injuries in two separate road accidents in Sindh province on Saturday.

In the first incident, a collision occurred between an oil tanker and a Chingchi rickshaw in Shikarpur district of Sindh province on Saturday.

Subsequently, at least three persons were killed and four others injured in the accident which took place on Indus Highway near Khanpur town of Shikarpur district.

The sources said that reckless driving on part of oil tanker driver caused the accident. The police seized the oil tanker; however, the driver managed to escape from the scene.

The dead bodies and injured were immediately shifted to the Civil Hospital Shikarpur for medical treatment.

In another incident, several persons were injured when a passenger bus overturned near Theri Bypass in Sindh’s Khairpur district on Saturday.

The sources said that the bus was going to Karachi from Lahore when it met the fatal accident.

The cause of the accident has not been determined yet.
