PM Nawaz asks ministers to avoid unnecessary foreign visits

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said on Thursday that the federal ministers and ministers of state should avoid unnecessary foreign visits, directing them to focus on the performance of their ministries.

In a statement, the prime minister said that the government is making arduous efforts to make Pakistan a highly conducive and attractive destination for foreign investments.

Earlier, Nawaz Sharif took notice of drought in Thar area of Sindh and asked the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) to file a report in this regard.

The prime minister also advised the armed forces to supply food and medicines to the drought-affected areas.
