India carried out 224 ceasefire violations on LoC, working boundary in 2014

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The prime minister’s adviser on foreign affairs and national security Sartaj Aziz has said that India carried out 224 ceasefire violations on the Line of Control (LoC) and Working Boundary in 2014, and their intensity has been more than the previous violations.

Sartaj Aziz was giving policy statement in Senate on the recent incidents of ceasefire violations by the Indian security forces.

The adviser said that the violations are the reflection of the manifesto of the present Indian government that it announced during the election campaign.

Sartaj Aziz said that Pakistan always tried to resolve the issue through dialogue but there was no positive response from Indian side.

In addition, he said that 700,000 Indian troops are responsible for human rights violations in Occupied Kashmir and Pakistan will launch a campaign to highlight these abuses at the international level.
