Turkey ready to help Pakistan carry out coal based, hydro power projects

ANKARA, Turkey: The Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoglu has said that his country is ready to help Pakistan in carrying out coal based and hydro power projects for power generation.

In a meeting with a Pakistani delegation led by the Commerce Minister Khurram Dastgir Khan in Ankara, Davutoglu said that Turkey will give every possible support to Pakistan to overcome the energy crisis.

The Turkish premier also stressed the need to further strengthen bilateral relations in trade, investment and connectivity.

Davutoglu said that he will soon visit Pakistan and co-chair the next meeting of High Level Strategic Cooperation Council with Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif.

Khurram Dastgir Khan briefed the Turkish leader about the steps taken by the Pakistan government to revitalise economy and overcome energy crisis.
