14 Killed as two trains collide in India's Uttar Pradesh state

LUCKNOW, India: Two passenger trains collided in India’s northern Uttar Pradesh state, killing at least 14 persons and injuring 45 others.

The reports said that three coaches of the Lucknow-Barauni Express derailed and toppled over after the Krishak Express crashed into it near Gorakhpur city station late Tuesday.

Following the incident, railway services across northern India were disrupted and several trains were diverted to alternative routes, the officials said.
