ISLAMABAD: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has initiated an investigation into the Metro Bus and Ring Road projects of the Punjab government.
According to NAB spokesman, an investigation into the mega projects was decided after taking cognizance of various reports relating to major violations of Punjab Government on the two mega projects contract’s award to various parties including NLC, without processing the case as per rules, HQs.
In this context all documents have been sought from Government of Punjab along-with names of functionaries responsible for the award of these contracts.
Chairman NAB has instructed that these investigations must be expeditiously formalized and accountability across the board ensured without discrimination.
