ISLAMABAD: The parliamentarians on Saturday condemned killing of the National Party’s Christian lawmaker in the Balochistan assembly Handri Masih in Quetta, demanding that the federal and provincial governments hold inquiry into the attack and bring the culprit to book.

Earlier in the day, a minority member of the Balochistan assembly Handri Masih was shot dead outside his residence in Nawan Killi area near Quetta.

The members of the National Assembly from various political parties condemned killing of the Balochistan MPA, and said that attacks on minorities damage Pakistan’s image in the world.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif directed the IG FC to help the Balochistan government identify and nab the culprits.

The prime minister directed the Balochistan government to take immediate action against the perpetrators.
