Hajj 2014: 53,814 Hajj applicants declared successful

ISLAMABAD: The federal minister for religious affairs Sardar Muhammad Yousaf announced on Friday that 53,814 Hajj applicants have been declared successful for the coming Hajj.

In his address at a news conference in Islamabad on Friday afternoon, the minister said that in all 1,27,586 people applied for Hajj under the government scheme. He said that those who deposited their applications by 10 am on April 21 have been declared successful.

The federal minister said that intending pilgrims should deposit their machine readable passports through their banks by June 10.

The minister said that the successful applicants can check their names on the ministry’s website www.hajjinfo.org while letters will also be sent to them on their given addresses.

Yousaf further said that the applicants who could not be selected can collect their money from the concerned banks.
