IHC serves contempt notice on Shahid Khaqan Abbasi

ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued contempt of court notice to the federal minister for petroleum Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and sought his reply on January 20.

The IHC issue the notice on the petition filed by CNG Association, in which it quoted the federal minister as saying that the IHC was responsible for gas load shedding.

The IHC had ordered the federal authorities to restore thrice a week gas supply schedule for Islamabad, Rawalpindi areas, setting aside all objections raised by the concerned quarters.
