Social2-year-old child killed, 25 injured as bus plunges into ravine in Murree

MURREE:  A two-year old child was killed and 25 persons were injured when a bus carrying families of Lahore fell 40 feet into a ravine in Tarait area of Murree on Saturday evening.

The rescue sources said that 25 persons were injured including 14 females and 7 children, adding that 22 injured were shifted to the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS) in Islamabad while three others were admitted in a private hospital at Bharakahu.

The reports said that the bus was on its way from Murree to Rawalpindi when it met the accident due to over-speeding. Moreover, rescue workers were facing difficulties due to darkness and cold weather.

Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif took notice of the accident in Murree and expressed grief and directed the concerned authorities to provide best medical treatment to the injured.
