KARACHI: Motorcycle rickshaws have been banned in Karachi after the disclosure that stolen motorcycles were being used in the rickshaws, Additional inspector general of traffic police Ghulam Qadir Thebo said on Wednesday.
The AIG said the rickshaws were also causing difficulties in traffic flow, adding that it was illegal and we have started crackdown against motorcycle rickshaws.
In addition, he warned the owners not to bring their rickshaws on roads as orders had been sent to all the police stations to impound rickshaws and arrest their drivers in case of violation.
