SocialKPK govt to monitor net cafes to counter threat e-mails

PESHAWAR: Following an increase in incidents related to threat e-mails sent to people, the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has asked Inspector General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police to collect data on all net cafes operating within the province.

The provincial government is of the view that collection of data and monitoring of net cafes would prove helpful given the situation in the province.

The government is also is concerned about the rise in incidents of kidnapping and extortion in which emails were used by criminals.
