KARACHI/MUREE: Police conducted targeted operation in various areas of Karachi on Wednesday and arrested at least 43 suspects, meanwhile as many as 14 target killers, who had fled from Karachi, were detained in Murree.

The sources said that different areas of Karachi where targeted operation was conducted included Baldia Town, Peerabad, Orangi Town and Sharafi Goth.

According to Superintendent Police Orangi Town Chaudhry Asad, 20 suspects were detained during a search operation in the Pakistan Bazaar area and three TT pistols were recovered from their possession.

Likewise, three suspects believed to be involved in a cracker ball explosion were arrested from Peerabad. Police also seized an unregistered motorcycle during the raid.

As many as 18 suspects were detained during search operations, SP Baldia Town, Shahjehan Khan said, adding that weapons and narcotics were also seized. Two suspects were detained from Sharafi Goth.

Meanwhile, as many as 14 target killers, who had fled from Karachi, were arrested during raids on different hotels of Murree, DSP Raja Taifoor said.

The DSP said that the target killers were being interrogated.
