ISLAMABAD: At least 111 persons have so far been killed and 129 others have injured in rain-triggered incidents in various parts of the country, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) said in its latest data on Monday.

Flash floods have damaged 5, 427 houses and 325, 000 acres of ready crops, the authority said.

The NDMA said that overall 399, 034 people have been affected by floods. It said that as many as 1097 villages have been ruined by the flash floods caused by heavy downpours.

According to NDMA latest data, 31 persons have so far been killed in Punjab, 24 in Khyber Pakhtunhwa, 22 in Sindh, 18 in Balochistan, 12 in FATA and 4 persons in Azad Kashmir.
