Kabul, Afghanistan: Indian government will clean sewerage system of Kabul as good will gesture and will provide services free of cost.
According to the contract, officials of Delhi Water and Sewerage Authority will assist teaching Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation officials how to use modern toilets with water instead of using earth soil for cleaning the body after attending the toilet. A comprehensive nation-wide training program will also be conducted by Delhi Water and Sewerage Authority officials for modern toilet usage in Afghanistan.
According to information came out from a meeting of Ghulam Rahman Kazim, Chief Executive Officer of the state-owned Urban Water Supply and Sewerage Corporation with the Head of the Delhi Water and Sewerage Authority Dr. Sajjan Singh Yadav, Delhi Water and Sewerage Authority will clean and upgrade sewerage systems in Afghanistan and will also help friendly Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan in constructing wastewater treatment plants and enhancing staff capacity.
Ghulam Rahman Kazim is in New Delhi for and also met constructing firms. The amount of work will be paid by New Delhi Union government. According to an official statement, the head of the Delhi Water and Sewerage Authority also expressed readiness to cooperate in developing sewerage systems and constructing treatment plants tailored to Afghanistan’s needs.
