ISLAMABAD: The government has requested the Election Commission to change the schedule of Presidential election‚ which is due on 6th of next month.

The ministry of Law and Justice in a letter to the commission has taken the plea that a number of members of the parliament have proceeded to Saudi Arabia for performing Umrah who will return after Eid-ul-Fitr.

Therefore the commission should reschedule the election to ensure maximum participation of the parliamentarians in the presidential election.
