ISLAMABAD: Minister for Water and Power Khawaja Asif  has said current shortage of electricity has been reduced to 3600 megawatts.

In an interview‚ he said there are technical reasons of load shedding during Sehar and Iftar. The Minister requested urban citizens to reduce the usage of electricity.He said duration of load shedding is more in areas where people do not pay their bills.

Khawaja Asif said government is increasing the supply‚ but there must be some effort on the consumer end to reduce the demand.

He said 360 billion rupees circular debt has been cleared.
