  • Blasts Punjab police for raiding Imtiaz’s house like dacoits

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Secretary General Omar Ayub Khan came down hard on Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Punjab police for risking the life of PTI former MNA Junaid Akbar Khan by arresting after securing bail and raiding at the residence of PTI ticketholder Ali Imtiaz Warriach in Lahore like dacoits.

The PTI Secretary General expressed apprehension that Junaid Akbar Khan former MNA’s life was in danger, who got bail but was picked up by the Police of another district in fabricated charges and FIRs registered against him.

“As I am writing this, he is being picked up by Chitral Police from Dir Court premises after getting bail in the Sahibabad FIR,” Omar added.

However, he revealed that whilst en route to Chitral, he would be intercepted by Bannu Police. “There is credible information that he will not be taken to Bannu but will become an ‘Enforced Disappered Person’ and will be severely physically tortured. Junaid Akbar Khan’s life is in danger,” he feared.

Omar lamented that there was no Rule of Law in Pakistan, as Junaid Akbar Khan was being victimised for standing with PM Imran Khan and PTI.

Meanwhile, PTI Secretary General blasted Punjab police for raiding house of Ali Imtiaz Waraich, PTI Ticket Holder PP-156, Lahore late last night.

Sharing CCTV video of the police raid, Omar said: “Just observe the manner in which officers and constables of Punjab Police are disabling the CCTV. All of them can be clearly identified in the video.”

Omar Ayub stated that these tactics were used by dacoits when they enter a premises so that there was no proof to implicate them committing a dacoity; however, he expressed shock that Punjab Police was now no less than a bunch of dacoits in uniform harassing and intimidating innocent citizens of Pakistan.

“Dacoits have not sworn an oath to serve and protect the public. Those serving in Punjab Police have sworn an oath to serve and protect citizens. It is for this reason that the public sees a bunch of dacoits behind the uniforms when they see Punjab Police personnel,” he added.
