Regional TerrorismNawaz discusses with Army Chief the possibilities of dialogue with TTP

Lahore:  The would be Prime Minister of Pakistan Mian Nawaz Sharif whose party has managed majority in national Assembly after May 11 general elections has indicated Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Pervaiz Kayani that his government will ready to talk with Tehrik-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP)  for the larger interest of country.

This discussion was part of a meeting of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Chief Nawaz Sharif and Chief of Army Staff of Pakistan  in Lahore on Saturday afternoon, claim reliable sources.

It may be mentioned that TTP in past offered Mian Nawaz sharif for broking deal with Pakistan Army when Mian Nawaz Sharif was not in the parliament and Pakistan People’s party (PPP) was in government before May 11 elections. It may also be mentioned that TTP announced that it will not target PML (N) members during their election campaign although TTP killed several people of PPP, MQM and ANP—all liberal and left-wing political parties who all lost elections because they were not given opportunity for proper election campaign.
