ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Prime Minister Imran Khan on Wednesday reiterated his commitment to rectify the system by bringing meritocracy and strengthening institutions.

While addressing the groundbreaking ceremony of a new Campus of Air University in Islamabad, the prime minister underlined his vision of building Pakistan on the pattern of the State of Madina, and said humanity, rule of law and education would be focused during the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) government. He vowed to take giant steps in the current year to make Pakistan a welfare state.

Imran Khan said economy had been stabilized during the last year and now all economic indicators were showing positive signs. He said now the government would focus on utilizing all available resources in the Country and provide maximum relief to people.

The Prime minister said the government would ensure provision of essential commodities at utility stories at lower rates and introduce Insaf Cards. He said Langar would be started in slum areas while Health Insurance Cards and Panahgahs had already been opened for the needy.

Moreover, he said tourism and construction sectors would be given special importance during the current year, which would bolster national economy. He also said technology and research would have to be given due importance in the education system to make real progress in the current modern era.
