TOKYO, Japan: The Japan-Pakistan Business Cooperation Committee (JPBCC) hosted a working luncheon meeting for President Dr Arif Alvi on Wednesday, in which representatives from leading Japanese Business Corporations having strong presence in Pakistan also participated.

In his remarks at the luncheon meeting, the president highlighted the initiatives of the present government to overcome the economic challenges.

The president said that Pakistan was ready to welcome Japanese businesses in all the sectors of economy.

The Japan-Pakistan Business Cooperation Committee expressed strong desire to make practical efforts for boosting up trade and investment relations between the two Countries.

President Dr Arif Alvi is currently in Japan on a five-day visit on the invitation of Japanese government to attend the Enthronement Ceremony of Emperor Naruhito.

Earlier today, the president met the Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe in Tokyo, and urged Japan to play its role for restoration of fundamental human rights of the Kashmiri people in Indian Occupied Kashmir.
