ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: Just hours after Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to constitute a high powered commission to probe the wealth stolen from Pakistan, he again came hard on money launderers and plunderers of public wealth, and also asked the nation to stop glorifying them.

“(It is) Time for nation to stop glorifying money launderers who have damaged our nation & impoverished our people & now seeking refuge behind “democracy”, the prime minister said in a Tweet on Wednesday.

The prime minister said that no protocol should be extended to these people and they should rather be treated as criminals.

“No protocol should be extended to them. Where are plunderers of public wealth given such special treatment? Time to treat them as criminals,” Imran Khan tweeted.

Earlier in a late night nationwide address, Prime Minister Imran Khan announced to form a high powered commission; which include representatives of Federal Investigation Agency (FIA), Intelligence Bureau (IB) Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI), Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) and Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP); to probe as what forced the previous two governments to obtain Rs 24,000 billion foreign loan in 10 years and where that money was spent.

Imran Khan also reiterated that he would not give National Reconciliation Ordinance (NRO) to corrupt and plunderers as in the past two NROs had already caused huge damage to the Country under which they were still reeling.
