Government of PakistanPeople to reject opposition’s protest: Firdous Ashiq Awan

ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The Prime Minister’s Special Assistant on Information and Broadcasting Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan has said that the people will reject the protest of the corrupt elements who plundered the national exchequer.

In a series of tweets on Tuesday, the special assistant said that any protest movement by the opposition will only bring embarrassment for them.

Firdous Ashiq Awan said that the party (Pakistan People’s Party) which has confined to Sindh has no popularity amongst the masses and one saw its manifestation yesterday when only few dozen people turn out in their support.

The special assistant said that history is testimony to the fact that Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) always use and came on the shoulders of others. They cannot hold protest but only conspire.

Dr Firdous Ashiq Awan said that had their hands been clean, they would give evidence to prove their innocence.

Furthermore, she said that the Chairman National Accountability Bureau (NAB) was appointed by PML-N and PPP. She also said that Panama papers were not released by us.
