ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The visiting Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister of Uzbekistan Elyor Ganiev along with his delegation met Prime Minister Imran Khan in Islamabad on Monday, the Dispatch News Desk (DND) news agency reported.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed Pakistan-Uzbekistan bilateral relations as well as the regional situation.

The two sides underscored need for greater communication network to realize trade potential between the two Countries.

The Uzbek deputy prime minister along with Deputy Ministers for Investment & Foreign Trade and Transport and other senior officials reached Islamabad earlier in the morning for two days official visit to Pakistan.

Elyor Ganiev will also hold consultations with the Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi, and other Federal Ministers/Advisers including Railways; Planning, Development & Reforms; National Food Security & Research; Health; Commerce; and Board of Investment (BOI).
