ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: The District & Sessions Judge (West) Islamabad Sohail Nasir has been appointed as the Director General Monitoring Cell (DGMC) in the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

“Sohail Nasir, District & Sessions Judge (West), Islamabad is appointed as Director General, Monitoring Cell (DGMC) in this Court against the news created post of Director General, Monitoring Cell (BS-22) with immediate effect,” said a notification issued on Thursday by the Assistant Registrar (Admn) for Registrar Pervaiz Iqbal with the approval of the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Asif Saeed Khan Khosa.

Sohail Nasir will not be entitled to draw any salary/allowances, perks and privileges from the Supreme Court of Pakistan.

The newly appointed DGMC will monitor Expeditious Justice Initiative (EJI) and will report directly to the Hon’ble Chief Justice of Pakistan.

In his Cadre, Sohail Nasir is well renowned as an upright, dedicated and honest officer.
