SocialKPK holds cleanliness contests among local govt bodies

PESHAWAR, Pakistan: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government has decided to organize cleanliness contests among local government bodies that would continue from April 1 to June 30.

A notification to this effect said here Friday that 77 tehsil municipal administrations, 6 water and sanitation services companies and all concerned local departments would participate in cleanliness contest.

For the purpose 140 numbers have been specified in different categories of cleanliness and hefty prize money among first three position holders would also be distributed.

The first position holder would get a prize money of Rs 30 million, the second position holder will be awarded with Rs 20 million while the third position holder would receive a prize amount of Rs 10 million.

The 80 percent portion of the prized money would be given to the institution while rest of the 20 percent would be distributed among the employees.

Likewise, the notification said departmental action would be initiated against those showing bad results during the contest.
